ABOUT NORCAL GIRLS' SOFTBALL

The Northern California Girls Softball Association (NORCAL) began meeting in Roseville, CA in 1967. Joe Giannoni, President of the Roseville Girls Softball Association, scheduled the first meeting and extended invitations to Five Cities, Sacramento, Del Campo, Fair Oaks and Colfax. Their goal was to promote social, physical and mental growth for girls ages 9-15 while participating in the sport of softball . Today 22 leagues participate in the NORCAL Girls Softball Program that consists of three seasons:

Spring- Leagues participate in intra-league play.

All Stars - All 20 Leagues participate in warm-up tournaments and Official NorCal Tournament for each division in July.

Winterball - All 20 Leagues participate in an opening seeding tournament on Labor Day Weekend, League Play from the second week of September through November, and a closing tournament in mid November.
